Hi everyone remember the pawsome harness from the nice people at Walk Your
Dog With Love? Well they sent me two more great things to test and tell you
about.
I got a zen hipster walking belt and a short leash. While I wish the Zen
hipster was in pink, black is ok too.
As for the short leash it helps me stay close to my mama and it's a nice
pretty bright pink and matches my harness.
I love the combo because it's hands-free walking and I get to stay close to
my mama.
The colors for the leashes match the harnesses that they offer.
Black Night
Deep Purple
Sky Blue
Kelly Green
Burgundy Wine
Super Red
Hunter Orange
Bright Pink
Neon
Green
Solar
Yellow
Jet Black
Ruby Red
Sapphire
Blue
Amethyst
Purple
Mochaccino
Lavender
'n' Sage
Eden Meadow
I love the leashes; you can get them in 3 ft short or a
6 ft normal length.
The widths are: 3/4 of an inch and 1 inch wide (the
Mochaccino, Lavender n Sage, and Eden Meadow are only available in the 1 inch
width). They are super strong too. The 3/4 inch has a pull strength of 3500
pounds. The 1 inch wide leash has a pull strength of 3800
pounds.
Wow that's strong.
I love the hipster because your mama or daddy can slip
it through the loop on your leash and clip it around their waist and then you
can walk with them and they won't drop the leash and get lost.
This is what the nice people at Walk Your Dog With Love
say about the Zen Hipster:
"Convenience The Zen Hipster walking belt is
perfect for all those reasons when you need an extra hand to hold the leash.
Like while you need two hands to pick up after your dog, or a hand to reach into
your pocket for a training treat, or you want to answer your cell phone, or
because the leash is hard to hold while you are wearing those thick mittens . .
.
Simple To Use It works with any standard leash. Just slide your leash handle onto the belt, buckle the belt around your hips . . . and walk!
The Zen Part Tension filled walks are a thing of the past. No more holding the leash with that two-fisted death grip because your dog pulls so hard. Because the leash is also being held by the belt you will be more relaxed . . . and so will your dog. Dogs pick up on our tension, they feel our stress, and then they become stressed.
The Hipster Part Have you ever seen a tug-of-war? The last person in the line ties the rope around their hips. Why? Because it is their center of gravity - it makes it harder to pull them over. It is a good solid position. They also get to put their full weight behind it. That is exactly what you want when you walk your dog . . . a good solid position! Even more important if you need to win a dog tug of war. This is the same reason a wrestler will get down low - so it is harder to pull them over.
The Zen Hipster lowers the leash to your center of gravity - so that you can counter your dog's natural low center of gravity and their 4-feet-on-the-floor traction. At your center of gravity is a much better position than with the leash in your hand, and pulling from your shoulder. Now it's harder for the dog to pull you, and you have better traction on the walk! "
(This helps with the Zen part too - because it lets you relax on the walk. It is a better way to walk.)
"Jogging/Running Walking belts are also known as running belts - as you can now jog with your dog, without having to focus on holding the leash. Careful please running with any dog - they don't sweat like we do and can overheat easily.
Great For Training Being connected to your dog this way is a classic, proven and simple training technique to get a dog to follow you. Now when you walk in one direction, the dog must follow you. You have both your body and your intention behind the walk. It is a great technique that works wonderfully with both pups and older dogs too."

As you can see its really great. The belt only comes in
black, but that's ok because Black goes with everything.
I haven't tried one of their collars but if the quality
is as pawsome as the leash, zen belt, and the harness I highly recommend it.
I went with my mama to visit her grandparents and spend
sometime with her cousin Chelsea for a few days and we went lots of fun places.
We went to the mall and walked around and even shopped at Old Navy where my mama
bought me a raincoat. Mama and Chelsea got makeovers and my leash was just long
enough to let me lay down and stay out of the way where I could be safe. They
walked around lots of stores and one of them was really really loud. I wasn't
scared at all because I knew my Walk Your Dog With Love leash would keep me and
mama safe. We walked to Petsmart and looked around but she was mean and didn't
buy me anything. Then we went to Target and Chelsea bought some really cool
stuff. While we shopped, it started raining and I didn't like it because I
thought my mama's hand would get wet and the leash would slip and she might get
lost. But it didn't thanks to the Zen Hipster belt. The next day we went to lots
of places again. We went to a place called Tractor Supply where my mama bought
some medicine and stuck it up my nose. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT. Then our grandma took
us to a place with lots of books called a library. My leash and Zen Hipster Belt
let my mama walk around and look at books and I was able to stay right by her
side.
I can't stop thinking about how much I love Walk Your Dog With Love. The leash is so pretty and it helps me stay close, even in the rain.
WOOF.
